To New York And Beyond!
New York, New York. I am finally going to this concrete jungle where dreams are made of. Well, at least where my dreams are made of. Well, from the feature image and for those who have read my tweet beforehand, you’d probably knew that I just got accepted by Teen Vogue Fashion University.
Which means, I am going to New York, come October.
I have to tell you that I was so surprised when I received the email confirmation. I didn’t expect to be qualified. I want to go but I always thought there are so many applicants and so many more talented students than myself. But guess what, I got in!
I received the email last night and I can’t stop grinning for almost an hour. I even woke my housemate up just to share my excitement with him. You know the feeling when you got something and you just want to share it with everyone? Well, this is the time. I called a few of my closest friends and my sister to share with them and now I am sharing it with you guys out there who has been reading my blog all this time.
I got the email at 2am and I can’t even go to bed till 7.30am. I was checking hotels, running through a list of clothes to bring, flights, and what I want to do in New York.
Here’s a breakdown of things I definitely want to do (fashion wise):
- SHOP SHOP SHOP SHOP SHOP! That’s for sure
- Go to Tiffany’s and have a Breakfast at Tiffany’s moment. Miss Holly Golightly!
- Visit the MET, especially to the Costume Institute. Too bad McQueen’s was over.
- Visit all the flagship stores like Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Apple etc.
- Visit all the different districts of New York. Meatpacking District. Fashion Avenue. West Village. Upper East Side.
- Definitely go for the Sex and The City tour. How could I not?
- Street style stalking!
And there are so much more that I want to do. But if I were to list them all here. This post will never end.

Yeah, living here is fabulous! You’ll love your visit. I was accepted into TV Fashion U 3 years ago but couldn’t make it out to NYC. No, I won’t be going this year, but it sounds fun!
